We are a Photography Group that unusually finds itself straddling the border of many towns around us We have Oldham one side, and Ashton on the opposite, as well as Failsworth and Droylsden just around the corner. As our name implies, we are based in Daisy Nook Country Park, but are local to just about everyone around us.
The park itself has been well known to local photographers for many years, but with the advent of Covid, those numbers grew rapidly. There came a point around 18 months ago where a decision was made to meet regularly once a week in the Cafe and the rest as they say is history. We have since then grown into a fully fledged L&CPU club under the name “Daisy Nook Photographic Society” and have come such a long way in our short history. We are currently meeting three times a month, at either the cafe or at Woodhouses Church a couple of minutes away.
We have the full range of members at our club which range from beginers all the way up to experienced and specialised photographers.
New members are always welcome regardless of their level of expertise. We try and cover all aspects of photography within our meetings so there should be something for everyone, from guest speakers, appraisals, competitions and tutition, as well as events and days out at least once a month.
You are more than welcome to pay us a visit anytime we have a meeting, there is no charge for first time guests, just check out the “Whats On” page to find our next meeting.
If you wish to know more, contact us via the main page and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
